Hi, I would like to learn computer programming. Can someone suggest a few good programming languages? I am currently learning from Beginning Programming for Dummies. please help me.....can you give me some tips?

Reply:Yeah, Visual Basic 6 can be a good choice because of couple of things:
First, It's kind of visual and you won't be bored working with that.
Second, It has got the concept of OOP (Object Oriented Programming) in itself.
So, It's good for you to start with VB6 !

BASIC
Python (the documentation claims you can learn it in hours)
Microsoft's Visual Programming Language (which is excellent for people with no programming experience. You don't type in any code, but drag and drop elements of the program)
After this move onto:
C/C++ (master these two before moving on)
Then:
Java
C#
After this you'll find learning any other language a piece of cake.
