What is the best computer programming language (internationaly) to master for nowadays?

I think the best language to learn would be C or C++ because all other language are mostly based off these two language. But learning any computer language may make it easier to learn other languages due to most of them being based off of C/C++.

What is the best computer programming language (internationaly) to master for nowadays?
Depends on what you want to do with it. Learn any OO language really well and then it'll be easy to switch from one to another. Right now, in the US at least, C# is very hot for making money. You can't go wrong with Java either. Things will change soon, though. Like I said, just learn the Object Oriented language that appeals most to you and master that. Then learning the other stuff will be easy.
Reply:C/C++, C# and Java are all popular, and all are syntactically similar so learning one translates well to learning all the others (especially C and C++). C# and Java have much simpler frameworks to tie into (sorry, MFC is a PAIN), and usually offer quicker development times since much functionality is built into the languages.

Really, it's hard to say which is best, since all of them are in-demand. Many shops have adopted Java as their flagship development platform, but many Microsoft development houses are making the move to C#. There is still TONS of C/C++ code out there, both new development, and "legacy" code to maintain making these languages a high certainty of job security.

At this point, any choice (of the three) is good.
