I'd really like to know because I'm thinking about pursuing it as a carrer

What all is involoved in computer programming?
Programming is about logical thinking. For example:





When I click this button, I need a, b, and c to happen and also d if e and f are true and g if e and h are false.





You have to figure out an effective way to write code that makes all those conditions work when they should.





You should be detail oriented and thorough.





My advice is to take a programming class. If you like it then go for the programming major. If you don't, find something you do like. Or to put that in code...

Reply:It is a lifetime commitment to learning and practicing. You have to live the languages to know them. It is not like ok I take this college course on C++ and pass it and a few more languages and your a programmer. You have to practice the languages regularly to really know them.





It is not for everyone trust me. You may find yourself learning all the time and the people around you may not even understand what you are saying as they do not have the same education level as you do on topics you live.





It is literally a way of life not just a job.
Reply:Lots of study. Learning whatever computer languages you go for. Accurate typing. No programme will run if you miss-type any of the code. A computer will not recognise involoved to mean involved!
