What computer programs will allow me to play video games that I own without the disk in the drive?

What computer programs will allow me to play video games with out the game disk in the drive? Also, what are the steps in setting up the program to make this work?

I think Daemon Tools is one program... but I need another...?

Thanks

alcohol120%

it sets up a ghost image to mount, it emulates the disk in a drive. program does it all for you.
Reply:wait do you mean downloading? uhh utorrent i guess?
Reply:Daemon tools will only get you so far. You'll still need a 'no-cd' crack, which you can usually find on a site like GameCopyWorld.com. Just be careful and scan any file you download from a site like that with an updated virus scanner.
Reply:First of all, they don't work anymore as games of current times check for virtual drives, not sure the reason but I guess it has things to do with copy protection.

Alcohol 120% is such a program.
Reply:Well Im not so sure myself on how to set up drives and what not, my uncle is part of the infamous geeksquad %26gt;_%26lt;, not me hehe.

But what I do know is that any online game will work on your computer without the disc. I like online games because you have a choice to be imaginative and ' fight monsters' and what not but you can also interact with different people and see new personalities without leaving your comfy chair. Haha I am so lazy sometimes.. Anyways there are some other games available that do not require the disc to be in the drive to play, you can just load it from inside your computer. You should ask an employee at a local electronics or computers store.

Oh! before I end my answer, there are also downloadable games from reliable online sites that you can purchase, than download. I know pogo has a few nice ones and will even give u a demo. Much fun!!

Best Wishes!! (hehe) Yours truly, iRock! q:
