Does anyone else think that computer programming has been "unreasonably ineffective" ?

If computer programming has been "unreasonably ineffective", is this related to the existence of the equivalent of "firebugs", who deliberately write poor quality systems ?

(just as firebugs supposedly start fires to keep firemen busy)

Does anyone else think that computer programming has been "unreasonably ineffective" ?
I don't understand your question. I computer programming is so ineffective, then how are you using this computer program? I'm sure there are some people who write poor quality systems and I'm sure, somewhere, there are people who write poor quality systems on purpose. However, I'm not sure how that reflects on the profession as a whole.

There are people who set fires deliberately but your argument implies that the fact that these people exist shows the ineffectiveness of firefighters.
Reply:Considering medicine, aviation, personal use, and the fact that you are using one to ask your question, makes your question

rather asinine!
