Want advice for learning computer programming?
This is a good place to start: http://www.homeandlearn.co.uk/ free too.

At work, the programmer's are only developing in .NET, make sure you add that to you abilities.
Reply:I'm still feeling my way along in some programming areas. But my advice is to learn HTML, CSS, then Java. That way you have a context in which (and when) to use it. Those tasks are not difficult.

I was really making progress with one site and then it disappeared. Check sites until you find one that you like and then learn.

The hard part of programming is when you make a dumb mistake and can not find it.
Reply:You can have short courses in programming with specialization in java programming.
