Has anyone ever went to school for computer programming?

Im going to start classes this summer, but Im curious to if the work will be hard like rocket science or is it fairly simple.

Has anyone ever went to school for computer programming?
I love it, but it can be challenging.

Like any technical field, you really have to enjoy it to get all that you can from it.
Reply:I have a Bachelors in Computer Science.

The hardest part for me was the mathematics. I did not have the math background that other students had, so I had to take extra mathematics classes. But I met a guy on the first day and we are best friends 10 years on. He helped me in areas I had issues and vice versa. Together we both graduated with good grades.

Some areas of the degree can be tricky, others can be easy. If you have trouble in one area, find someone willing to help you out. Just because you may not be great in one area, doesn't mean you cannot pass the degree.

It was fun though, I enjoyed most of my classes and the degree has been very useful in my career.

Good luck!
Reply:fairly simple.
Reply:BS: Computer Science

I think the computer part is easy if you have the knack for computers. It's when you get into theorectical stuff, where it gets harder. I started as a BIO major, but happened to know how to program already, so that helped alot.

I also could type really fast.

If you are going for a degree, then you also need alot of mathematics.
Reply:Of course that depends on what sort of knack you have for programming. You can always ask here when you get stuck with something.
