How do i become a programming and or computer wizard? Where do i start?

its important to keep your basics right.. u must have an interest towards programming(thats primary).. u should always keep experimenting and improving your code.. add as many features to ur program as u can think of..

make it a habbit from the very begining to present ur code in the best possible way(use comments, proper indentation etc).. and put extraa stress on the output.. try n make ur program very user friendly..

this was the answer to how to start!!

i actually started with c++ through oline tutorials .

%26amp; i'm telling u .. it was really addictive in the begining..

later on we had to study c++ in the college as well.. so i was already ahead of every1 in my class.. coz things looked so obvious to me.

1 thing that every1 is advised to do--m never learn programming.. do it yourself.. and u'll certainly perform better. things strt looking obvious after some time.

and then to be a computer wizard .. u hv. to work hard.. extremely hard!

I found learning HTML was one of the first things I learned. It's easy. It's not programming, but it gets you used to entering codes and values.

Next step up is probably Python. It's easy to use and has lots of tutorials and documents for the begining user.
Reply:you can start by exploring and learning your computer more, like taking out spywares, editing stuffs, customizing, erasing stuffs, etc.

note: you have just to be careful if you're afraid to take risks, sometimes it takes a 'trial %26amp; error' to become one.
Reply:Taking a basic computer programming class is the best way to start, that way you find out what interests you and where your strengthens and weakenesses lie, and after that it will open a world of options, a community college class might be the best answer that way you can have the ability of choice as to where to go after you have gotten a feel for the field. :)
Reply:Most hackers/sys admins that i know learned the same way i did. Start by taking an old computer apart and see whats in it, then take a few classes depending on what you want to do. a good class to start with is A+ certification... it starts with the history of computers and goes from the very basics(i.e. What are input devices?) how to more advanced hardware and operating system topics.
Reply:It depends on what kind of programming you would want to do. if you want to do based on web designing you could probably try learning html, java script or php.

if you want to do programming to make softwares it would be advisable to do java or C++.

if you want to do based on DBMS you could try learning SQL or ORACLE.

An easy way of learning any of these is to get ebooks or guides that are available on the net.
