Do you know any free computer programming programs?

Just want free programming software

Do you know any free computer programming programs?
Are you talking about IDEs (Integrated Development Environments), compilers, or interpreters? If IDEs, then the best one (for Java at least) is Eclipse. As for compilers, almost all modern language compiles have free versions. javac, gcc, etc. Interpreters: java, perl, python, etc. I hope this answers your question.
Reply:Check with Yahoo Search for Computer or Shareware.
Reply:www.download.com

or

www.tucows.com
Reply:Well there are a couple of good, safe download sites. The first I would check would be www.microsoft.com - Visual Studio has been released in a FREE beta version called an Express Edition. They're modern, powerful and there's one for pretty much every language, VB, C#, C++ and the list goes on.

If you're into Java, join Sun's Developer Network and you can download their FREE Java development platform. Warning: Uses a lot of system resources!

Hope this helped,

Reply:If you want to learn web developtment, a nice set is called the LAMP stack. Linux (operating system), Apache (web server), MySQL (database), PHP (server side scripting).

You can get versions that run on Windows to replace the Linux portion if you want.

There are a few free IDE's (Integrated Development Environments)I just learned about today and think are very niice. IDE's are where you actually create applications using the programming languages.
