Have great idea for a computer program but dont no how to create it.

How do you create your own computer program that would be free and from where?
go to college and then get a degree in IT.

Reply:Visual Studio EXPRESS EDITION is free you can download it from Microsoft and VB.net and C# are both great for quickly developing programs and you can Google "example source code c#" to learn how to do it very quickly. You could also use a GNU c++ compiler or Sun Java compiler, but both of these require a good deal of skill to program and compile in.





Far as sharing your program as free software IE "open-source", the site sourceforge.net is dedicated to that...I myself have 3 programs on there.

BTW I have a degree in MSIS/masters in IT...but have been programming since I was 15 and taught myself by reading articles about it online...so, while it helps, you don't need an IT or computer science degree to program.

Basically.. there are what are called programming languages.. they're what are used to make programs..*


When you learn to use one of these languages, and harness what it was built to be, is when you can make programs..

You -might- also be able to use a software off of the internet somewhere to make it.. but that is very unlikely
